Streamlight ProTac 2L Review
The ProTac 2L is a fantastic flashlight if you are looking for something super small and bright but a sturdier than a pen light. Obviously the best feature of the ProTac 2L is it’s size and weight, at less than 5 inches long, less than and inch in diameter, and less than 3 ounces with batteries it is pretty tiny. Being made by Streamlight, this flashlight also has a certain level of quality that it must live up to. It is stronger and sturdier than any pen light and can take some falls but do not expect the ProTac 2L to be as tough as some of its bigger brothers. It has a great push button selector at the base of the flashlight with 3 settings. The max brightness of the ProTac 2L is 260 lumens, the flashlight also has a low light mode and strobe. With 260 lumens in this small package the flashlight tends to get hot quickly. One other small complaint about the ProTac 2L is the fact that the strobe setting is set in between the high and low settings. I believe that it makes more sense to not have to pass through strobe to get to the low light setting. Lastly, the removable pocket clip can sometimes come off when you are trying to use it. All in all this is a great light at a great price that is small and packs a huge punch with 260 lumens.
